Hi to all, just joined the group today and glad I did it at last. Been following the topics for a while
now. Johnny is the name and had my Hilux 4y now since 2009, oldman emu suspension with 5 inch lift.
10inch mags with normal 31/10.50 shoes on. Bought it with a weber 36 DCD carb on never had to much
to complain about but lately , no further comment .
For now busy with the golf carb mod but am planning to go to EFI , got the manifold , throttle body and injectors
off a fongkong taxi . Will ask for assistance as I go along because with anything electronic I am lost , would be nice
if there was a plug and play harness that you could buy ?? ! If there is please let me know.
Will post a photo as soon as I figure out how to do it.
Nice to meet you all.

Happy new year to all , I have completed my efi conversion but she won't start. I used a optical sensor but now with the fiddling I broke the chopper.
I read in bulldogs conversion how they use the electronic dizzy but change the coil wire, the tp 100 they are talking about is it a normal tp100 or does it
have to be the dictator one. Please any help would be appreciated.

It is the Dicktator one, a lot more beefier than the normal one. You must also ensure that the distributor is not inserted 180° out of phase, very easy to make that mistake. Bulldog suffered misfiring at high revs that i could not find so I swapped the optical dissy out with a spare one that I have but then I also could not get it to start. Could have kicked myself when I found that out.

The cause of the misfire I also eventually found - the wiring loom from the distributor had a Molex Connector in it for ease of swapping distributors should it ever have been necessary, and one of the contacts had not seated properly. It was loose inside the fitting such that vibration from the engine at high revs prevented good electrical contact.

Good morning, finally got the computer to work, so now it starts and I can play around on the program but can't quite get the idling sorted out.
Seems there is a lot more settings to be done somehow, it sounds like a old lance bulldog when idling. It revs nice and clean right through , so it must be a setting in there somewhere. Also my water sensor a 4y tipe reads at about 80 to 104 deg , any advice would be greatly appreciated.
