Good day frnds
Kindly assist me , my car is overheating but there's no leak and I took to a mechanic who qouted me R27000 . Is this a fair price to pay for a blown Top gasket ?

That's beyond insane for a top gasket in my opinion. Don't settle for the first quote you get... shop around!

Have a good look at your radiator, mine is also overheating and I noticed that my radiator is clogged (externally) which i believe is causing the overheating problems. Maybe you get lucky. Also have your cooling system pressure tested as this would indicate if your gasket has blown or not.

Yep, pressure test AND carbon test first. Silverton will normally do these tests free of charge.
That price is ridiculous, even for a Volvo! (I think he has quoted for a complete new head as well.)
