Hi,
I have a 1992 Hilux 2.2, 4Y, 4x4
I would like to put in a 2001 2.7 (3RZ) Rear diff with diff lock into the 4 Y.
Is this doable?
Is the Ratio the same?
Are they the same Width?
The 4Y has the SA made Diff in.

I would not put 3RZ IN by all accounts it is fuel thief and the 4 liter V6 a better option.Would do WL Mazda or Beams Toyota motor.Run Kzte on standard diff(petrol) and speed long road 100km true speed and not bad.

He wants to fit the diff, not the engine ;-)

Do you have the diff already?

If you have a local gearmax diff on your SFA already, I would rather take it to a gearmax agent, and have a diff lock fitted to your current diff.

Thanks .
I actually would like to use the other Diff, as the SA Diff is already the third I put in. The housing etc. does not last. I must have been one of the first unfortunate ones, not to get the imported one. They are indestructible. I will try and find out the 3RZ ratio.

Thanks guys for the info.
Appreciate it very much.
Unfortunately, the 2.7 Axle is wider than the on in the 2.2
Are the Import Diffs for the 4Y still available?
