It's a 2001 2700i 4x4 with 187000km on the clock. It's still in quite good condition. Still mostly standard except for a branch and freeflow exhaust. Only accessories are the canopy, nudge bar and spotlights.

I want to add dual battery system, maybe lift it a bit, upgrade the radio, maybe in the distant future put on an aluminium canopy and bullbar, but I don't really have a need for that right now. The Bakkie actually drive nice as it is.

I have modified most of my previous cars, and a lot of stuff one do is just because you can and want to. This one I might keep fairly standard.... but maybe I will get the itch and do more to it...

Regarding the dual battery, where do you guys put the second battery? There isn't much space under the bonnet, not sure if one will fit behind the rear seat? I would preferably want to keep it mounted permanently, and if it's in the load bin, I can't really use the load bin, for "general Bakkie stuff"

Put it in the load bin, it's the most common practice. It doesn't really take up much space at all and it's really the most simple route - just be sure that it's properly secured. Also, if you're going to be using it to power a fridge, then it's close by - less cable and therefore less voltage drop. :winkx:

What about a portable dual battery system from Nation Luna. You can then just unplug and remove it out the load bin when jou use your bakkie for general Bakkie stuff
