hilux 2l gearbox oil
hello , does anyone know what GL level of gearbox oil i should use in my ln65 4x4 hilux sa spec it has a 2L engine is it gl4 or gl5, also im looking for the complete torque settings for the 2L engine.

GL4 is for gearbox and transfer and GL5 for diffs

ok thanks in the manual it said lubricant vicosity : ep90 gl5 and the lubricant type was multipupose api gl4 so was abit confused , if i cant find gl4 will gl5 harm the gearbox ? the oil i drained was dark brown / black someone had overfilled it previously from the top of the gearbox.

I won't fill a gearbox with GL5. I believe there is a compound in that could harm the brass of the syncros over time. A EP90 or 80W90 GL4 will do the job

No it won't matter. The older gearboxes like yours ussualy runs on 80W90 but I don't think you will have a problem with 75W90
