Mozambiquen Isolation
Hi guys,
I see that most new guys introduce themselves in this section of the forum so I thought I might as well do it too.
My name is Wynand and I'm a most recent South-African expat living in Mozambique. I recently acquired my first 4x4 ('97 Hilux 2.4 d/c ltd edition) and is very keen on the whole experience. 4x4ing is not new to me as I frequently go with my dad on his trips who is an avid 4x4 driver.
As I'm not living in Moz for long I would like to know if there are any of you who can recommend nice offroad routes for me to explore?

Hi Wynand, very interesting, I was part of the team who build the first rollout of sites in Moz, about three to four years ago. I was based in Beira and resposible to build all the sites from Valinculous to Pemba in the north. It was a nice expereince and took us 8 months. good luck and enjoy. Nico.

Re: Mozambiquen Isolation

Ek sal binnekort weer terug gaan vir 'n lang naweek of so en 'n toeris wees.

Re: Mozambiquen Isolation
Hi Welcome to the forum. Don't want to sound to nasty seeing as you are making a living in the cell phone industry, but I must just say that on my last visit to Moz I was saddened by the fact that EVERY where EVERY single building in the whole Mozambique has been painted Vodacom blue of or the other cell company Yellow.
The whole country seem to have lost its identity and been taken over by cell phone companies. No matter how deep we travel into the country we always had cell reception.
What make this sad is that the average Mozambiquen lives in absolute poverty but yet somehow the one or two metica that he manages to get somewhere selling something he will use to buy airtime instead of using the money to uplift himself
These big cell phone corperates are like all the casinos in Johannesburg

Re: Mozambiquen Isolation
