Groete uit die Baai
Middag Hilux mense,
Ek het so 2 maande terug vir my 'n verskriklike lelike 1990 Hilux gekoop om my boot mee te sleep.
Sjoe, nou ry hy lekker!
Oh and for my English friends around here.
I am the new owner of a super ugly 1990 Hilux with a 2C turbo enjin mod (nickname - Bushpig). Hope we will have lots of together!
Cheers!

Welcome Johan! I'm glad to hear that you don't let the Ishoeshoe sleep with the Lux ...... the Lux might pick up some bad habits! I'm a little ways 'up the drag' from you, but there are a few P.E. members here that will undoubtedly make themselves known to you. Enjoy the forum!
When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.
Life is like a jar of Jalapeño peppers ... what you do today, might burn your ass tomorrow.
Don't take life too seriously ..... no-one gets out alive.
It's not about waiting for storms to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain.
And be yourself ..... everyone else is taken!

Julle ouens kook.
Hier is ’n paar fotos.
PS. Andy, we must go ride a few dongas together sometime!

Thanks Deon,
I am still playing with some ideas how to keep the car as close to this type of look / style as possible. The uniqueness kind of grows on me, but it not very practical right now with the roll cage running through the rear window.
Those taxi dudes may want to take revenge and steal my bakkie - THAT WILL BE THE START THE 3RD WORLD WAR!
Right now I am going through all the mechanical stuff to ensure the vehicle is reliable. I'd say about 95 % there. Then roadworthy part - I hope they will accept the racing bucket seats.
Maybe a fish bribe will convince them.

Awesome! Thanks for that. She seems to be pretty much cruising throught the mud there. No ploughing or anything. That is where the dry chunks mud came from which ended in my eyes when changing the gearbox oil!
Thanks again for the pics. You really made me a proud Lux owner today.
