yep... so i took the suzie....

LR fuel tank... filled up at Stilbaai with 114lt :slap: Ad then again when i got home. Credit card took a beating. 10.44km / l. Not too bad i reckon. It did have on 215's though. I had set of 245's at home so i fitted it this weekend. bakkie soma looks much better already. Must say Suzie very low compared to Hiluxes I owned before....

talking about hilux... d4d manne het ook maar min genaade op N2. Not that suzie was struggling. Uphill i was happy at 100kph... did not want to hurt bakkie on maiden voyage. d4d manne came flying past... infact... lots of cars came flying past. I think someone changed speed limit to 160 :-)
I was happy to chug along at 120 @ 2800rpm

gearbox is bit sticky for my licking though. sometime struggles for first and reverse when standing still, and not smooth like toyota i'm used to.
I just hope owner did not put in gearbox oil . as i see on slips he gave me there was invoice for 85W140 gear oil. I think it best i drain oil and replace just to be sure. hope damage not done already. also spare wheel was placed in the loadbin because of LR tank. now i got to find a way to secure that.

traffic driving just takes some getting used to. used to driving petrol. now i change between 2000 - 2500rpm.. bakkie feels like i can give more off the line, but i don't want to push it hard... that when things go wrong. So for now i will be drivign miss daisy.

Holding thumbs that suzie lives up to luxes i had before.

Nice Shaakir!!

Thinking of selling Kaspaas to Oom Z, I find another 280TD.
Inherited one from my dad, was a 1998 280TD LX 4x4, with all the bells and whistles!

Loved it!

Congrats!!

Nice!

Still the most economical bakkie ever build that shape 300Tdi's.

Have a 63mm Exhaust fitted and chipped - it will outperform a 330D BMW at certain points in the drag race!

Those trucks are low, maybe time for a nice suspension upgrade!

I know someone who's Kezoos has over a million kilos on - lives in Magaliesburg, works in Joburg at Marlboro offramp.
