Garage reg pak

Post by WayneSchalk »

Die een is seker helemal off topic :siffler:

Ek kan myself net nie kry om my garage reg te pak nie :frustrated: So ek is bereid om iemand te betaal om dit vir my te kom doen, dalk 'n matric laaitie wat 'n paar rand will maak of iemand.

Ek kan nie 'n casual optel by die kerk nie, hulle sal my seker leeg dra.

So ek soek na een of 2 mense wat 'n saterdag wil kom en my garage leeg pak, skoon maak en daan terug pak. Ek sal R250 per persoon betaal

Jy is heeltemal reg.

My garage vloer is ook baie rof. Ek het sommer gedink om goedkoop teels te kry en die vloer te teel en mure verf. rakke terug sit, tool borde op sit en 'n werksbank kry.

EK sal 'n foto vat die naweek van die "before" hahahaha

Wayne I used some of the roof truss off-cuts to raise the shelves about 100 mm off the ground.

Pack away a few big tools, then out with the hose pipe and I wash out the garage :)

I really want to tile the floor, or rather the interlocking rubber matts .... but every 2 or 3 years I have a welding project ....

Last moth it was a crazy mess after three big projects over a 7 month period, right now it is super clean. I am doing a studio photo shoot in the garage tomorrow. Added overhead power points for the studio lights, and made a custom 5-roller system for the backdrops

Wayne just as an extra thought.

I have a dual set of the wooden "Mak-rak". Not particularly impressed .... the gaps between the slats cause small stuff to fall through, or it sinks in and has to be wiggled out ....

The steel shelves were only about 5% more expensive. Lifted off the ground, and then spaced from the back wall and bolted to created a very solid structure - the electrical tools wires are hung down the gap at the back.

I also considered the "shop shelving" - the strips and angle clips .... Did not seem any cheaper at the time, but I did not price it fully.

Briefly considered making steel brackets and then adding wooden shelving ..... by the time you have it galvanized, add end pluggs etc to give a lasting proper finish it is also hardly cheaper than the shop bought steel shelving. And I just did not have the time for it, after the building works I just wanted to get it all done.

Ha Ha, you garage looks a bit empty, you have no reason to complain. Ís a pity you are so far, I love packing, cleaning and sorting. If I come help will you also buy a return ticket?

Agree with Chris, the more shelves you have the more organized your garage and the more things you can collect.

you guys think you have a problem, well have a look at this mess, but it is expensive mess and there is no more room to even park the various 4x4's in the garage or even put them on the two poster.

But.............I am in the process of making some more storage outside for the mess.

Wayne seems you are either in the middle of a project, or have not packed away after the last project.

Pack away the hand tools - tool board, and hang up your extension leads and 60% of the stuff is sorted.

Now that other 40% is what takes the time ..... after my series of projects it took me almost a month of weekends to get it sorted again. :shh: :surrender:
