Eish John, I'm not sure that's a LTD .... looks like a Raider with LTD mags. Hmmmmm .....

Did the LTD have any other motor options besides the 22R? Were they available in diesel?

The obvious things were the integrated bull bar / bumper with 8000lb warn winch. The tubular rocksliders with cut-away tread panels, the staggered tubular rear bumper and the mags.

Windows were lightly tinted glass except for the front windshield which only had a tinted strip on top. Rear cab-slider was standard AFAIK.

The embossed head-rest ...
IMG_5960.JPG

The logo in the seat material with leather side panels ....
IMG_5961.JPG

The LTD logo in the door panel material ...
IMG_5963.JPG

Immobilizer and diff lock .....
IMG_5964.JPG

Encircled items .... The gauges are obviously fitted aftermarket in the ashtray compartment and I'm not sure, but suspect that the switch under the lighter and the freezer temp gauge were also.
IMG_5965.JPG

Air-con is standard but the Clinometer is aftermarket.
IMG_5967.JPG

Centre console standard .....
IMG_5968.JPG

Door pouches were standard on a lot of models, but also on the LTD ....
IMG_5969.JPG

General interior view.
IMG_5970.JPG

I seem to think that the LTD's were fitted with 150mm stainless steel Warn spots .....
IMG_5971.JPG

My side decal has "Hilux" only, no "LTD"
IMG_5972.JPG

My side stickers were replaced since the vehicle was re-sprayed, not sure if they are the genuine sticker or have been made up. They do however resemble the original very closely if they are not OEM The tail end had the LTD logo in it.
IMG_5973.JPG

The tail gate has a LTD logo in a 'dome sticker' ..... much like the club sticker. Doubt that it's OEM (after the re-spray).
IMG_5974.JPG

The staggered tube rear bumper. The tow hitch is 'high level' .... no drop-plate. I also noticed that other LTD's have a similar exhaust tail piece.
IMG_5975.JPG
When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.

That 2.8TD is not a limited, it a normal 2.8TD Raider

There was no 2.8D or 2.8TD limited unless someone special ordered it, but it was never advertised like that.

Ditto Andy....

All the circled items are definitely aftermarket. As for the diff lock switch, it's same on '97 Raider onwards.
That centre console bugs me a bit..mine is the "flat" one, doesn't have the IFS type box between the seats :?:

ok must admit then i dont have the LTD on the door panels, but has the same design material, or head rests. Bumper at back the tubular, mine does not have LTD decals but has chrome style hilux and 2.8. Mine was ordered with the sac turbo from toyota, still has the sac sticker in the engine bay with fitment details. Has the gear max diff lock and imobilisor as shown, does not have those gauges, so then not LTD if they did not make them in diesal, mmmmmm, :banned:

John, Perhaps George and I (and maybe another two LTD owners that are interested) can club together and buy you a nice set of replacement mags. Up to you. ;-) We could split the cost 4 ways if there are 4 guys that need.

Huh!!?? Now I'm learning something too! ..... Never looked closely enough, just assumed that it was one piece with the bumper. Actually thought about it though, how to get the winch out for servicing .... again, just assumed that the whole bumper would have to come off. That's actually a nifty idea!
When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.

Does the LTD also come standard with the towbar on the Bullbar?
Mine had one there, and I thought the previous owner had it added, but seeing it on your pic, Stef, in exactly the same place on the bullbar, makes me wonder... :o:

Also thought it was added afterwards  but the bumper is not strong enough really, there is a slight dent in mine already.

Same here, was about to strip the bumper off completely; started looking at the mounts when I noticed the 4 big bolts and no weldeing seems. The winch plate is u-shaped to help distribute load. I also removed 2 of the fairlead rollers to pull the hook through; need to lube them anyway.
BTW, if you want to remove the bumper, you'll have to remove the winch first; there's 2 bolts either side on the front, of which only the bottom ones are reachable.
