On a more sad note

Post by Donkey »

Hi guys/galz

Posting this on behalf of Sebata (Tau)

Last night I got a call with him on the other side sounding frantic. Wife was driving with her mom in the truck when they were hi-jacked on the East Rand (Daveyton area).

They couldn't take the truck, but both were shot, with the mother dying on the spot and the wife is in a critical condition in Glenwood Private Hospital in Benoni. We ask for your prayers in our time of difficulty and with Boitumelo a speedy recovery. I will update as and when I hear anything.

This sucks.

Regards.

Thank you for the support and prayers, will forward messages through to Tau and his wife.

This is what happened, (hopefully he won't mind but I think it may help save a life):

His wife is a twin, and so with the other twin and the mother they get ready to leave the yard. So they approach the bakkie and four idoits come from behind, this happens in a busy street in the afternoon. When they could not get the bakkie started they got frustrated and shot the mother, who dies on the spot, Boitumelo (wife) also gets shot in the head and the sister in the thigh - 2 bullets. In both cases the bullets went in and out leaving Boitumelo in ICU, with her head swollen, but her swelling has come down today, and the other twin Itumeleng discharged with a limp on the left foot.

What is sad is that not only is a life lost, but these are young boys who are probably high on drugs and have absalutely no respect for anyone or his/her belongings. The neighbour who witnessed this came out to see what was happening, was also shot at, 3 times but was missed, and when they ran out of bullets, they ran away.

Today was a lot of driving around to undertakers and making arrangements for a funeral, if things go to plan possibly this Saturday.

Will keep you posted.

My thoughts and prayers are with them! We don't understand why these things happen and advice or words are never enough but Jesus Christ comfort and love with the family!

The more I think it the more speechless I get. I cannot imagine what it must be like to be in hospital while your mother gets buried.
I cannot find words enough to try and help
You always here about these things happening but this is so close to our community

Your thoughts, prayers and support, I did forward to Tau last night.Thank you.
What has been puzzling my mind is the fact that somehow things aren't gonna get any better and either way we're targets and helpless at the hands of these thugs.

The funeral is on Saturday, :tickedoff:

Donkey I am with you on this. South Africans accept to much S@#$%T and its time that we all stand together and do something about it because the law isn't interested because it suits them and their pockets. :irate:

Thank you to all for the prayers and support. Mother-in-law was buried yesterday.

On Friday afternoon at 13:05, sadly Boitumelo also passed on, leaving a deep piercing cut in Tau, and the rest of the family. Dreams are shattered and his eyes constantly red from crying - we can only be there to support him further.
:aggresive:

We're planning the funeral arrangements for this coming Saturday.

Really sad to hear this. Our prayers and thoughts go out to them.

I also pray that the excuse for a human being that pulled the trigger rots in jail

Eina! That is devastating news! We are deeply saddened to read of this and our hearts go out to the whole family, especially Tau. Tragedies like this tear at my soul, particularly when it happens 'close to home', and we share your grief. Please convey our sincerest sympathies and condolences to all. We will continue to uphold you in our prayers.

He's OK and progressing slowly (bones take time to heal). He was allowed off the bed for the first time on Thursday (in a wheelchair). Looks like it will still be another 2 weeks before he's discharged ... taking a bit longer than we thought.

Nothing by comparison to your tragedy, but thanks for asking. ;-)
