Hennie, those old Volvo's were tough, both body and motor. A bit on the heavy side, but the double side-draft Webers helped a lot with that. Chances are that without too much maintenance effort, your grandson will still be able to drive it when he retires.

Sy het so amper 57 000 myl op, en behalwe vir engine mountings, plugs en sulke goed, nuwe briek silinders agter en waterpomp is sy 100% oorspronklik. Sy krt nou net ordentlike skoonmaak en polosh, dan sal ek weer pic's post.

Very good cars, the engines were very popular in stock car and other racing, they were also fitted in lighter body's & frames.
There was a red 2 door model in the Car mag a few years back, it clocked 1 milion recorded miles, he had it since new and it was always serviced by the same mechanic.

Ek het n 89 import en het al gehoor dat die 88 standaard uit kom met limited slip diff... Wat is die kans dat ek ook soo iets het? en is daar n manier om so iets te toets ( by die huis ) Dankie lekker dag julle!
