Are there any Pecan Nut Farmers out there who could share advice/ experience?

My Dad and I are looking at purchasing a small/young pecan nut farm and I was wanting to know if anyone out there had some relevant advice they would be willing to share.

I use to rent a house on a pecan nut farm at de 2de spruit near Cullinan . you need pecan nut trees, avo trees and lemon trees. the lemon tree helps to lure bees to pollinate the avo and pecan trees. The avo trees main function is to take most of the water out of the ground so that the pecan nuts dont get rotten. that is about how far my knowledge stretch.
and of course to eat them.
