Just a word of advice

Not all diesel is created equal....I'd rather spend more and know what I get than saving a few cents and having equipment issues afterwards....

R 12,94 at the moment is a price that seems highly irregular (I'd be suspicious)

yesterday I paid R12.84 per liter at the Co-Op. They only supply 500ppm.
I have been filling up for a while with this diesel and had no problems. The one thing is that it is not a fuel station in the normal sense. It is a fuel depot. So they dont bother much with checking wheels and oil.You come in and fill up.
there is quite a few of these fuel depots around.just ask any delivery guy or truck driver where they fill up.

The rpice of diesel is not regulated like petrol. They can charge what they want and you as the consumer can choose to fill up at the establishment or not. Follow George's advice...

R12.77 here in PE at Truck depot. 500pp.

Sasol has the most expensive diesel.
Also avoid the Ultra Cities/1 Stops next to Highways. When you travel, rather pull into town to fill up.

AFAIK the bio diesel eats through the rubber gaskets and pipes and you will need to change all that.Rebuild your diesel pump

Is there a difference in quality between 50 ppm at a depo and 50ppm at a normal station?

I almost always fill up at the Kaap Agri depo in Vredenburg, BUT each time I fill up at a normal station the engine is running quieter and smoother. :shock2:
So I am now getting worried about the quality of depot diesel.
