Re: Pedal car ...
NOTE - complete build and final pics at the end of page one
Side note - the fender-flare is super EASY to work with !!!
hack-saw to the length you want.
carpet knife works perfectly for the rough cuts of the curves you may want in your final install
Then a belt sander works perfectly to work it to the exact shape you want !
and then pop-rivet into place
really a NICE product to work with.

Re: Pedal car ...
OK - enuff thinking! Show the plans. I suggest a bottom trailer with canvas top and LED lighting.
(You may want to make it large enough so that you can also fit in... )

Re: Pedal car ...
Very nice Chris! I'm just a little concerned by that open chain, is there not a possibility that he would ever get his foot or toes stuck in it? You might want to consider a chain guard?

Stem saam, veral as hy vinnig trap en die voet gly. Mens moet nou nie spoke opjaag nie. Voorkomend is beter as die trane agterna.

Re: Pedal car ...
uhm jaaa .... that open chain certainly is being watched closely ......
before the paint the chain fell off a few times. I then worked on the rear mount for finer adjustment ... to date the chain has not fallen off again - touch wood ! So yes, no need to keep it open any more.
that said, the chain is on the outside of the chassis, and slightly set back from the chair.
And then there is also the handbrake lever that goes over the chain - so he has to get in and out from the other side.
thus not a high risk - but a risk all the same. A small cover will be added
Did an inspection yesterday - seems the weak point is the swivel connection in the steering system .... the pin started sliding out. I pushed it back into position and will have to keep an eye on this ..... and start looking for a proper universal joint ....

Re: Pedal car ...
so the weak point did not last long ....
the one pin of the swivel fell out. Got replaced with a bolt and nylock nut.
steering is much better now :)
