Can someone perhaps shed some light on the costs and procedures on the Zim side?
Thanks

Re: Exporting a vehicle to Zim
James LOTS of Japanese imports in Zim and Bots.
Just so much cheaper to buy one of these imports than to even consider buying in SA, nevermind the costs to then export it to Zim.
If it is a sentimental issue, it should be easy enough to do the export.
But forget about ever bringing it back to SA !!

Thanks roofer. That would me appreciated! Need to export two landies actually to a hunting concession...don't want to blow the toyo bubble, but actually that is the only vehicle, still, that can take the punch...

Would be interesting to know what you must do. Have you asked your local vehicle licensing office yet? What I once heard was that it must have police clearance and it must have microdots.

Re: Exporting a vehicle to Zim
Piet, the issue is not on this side. Company on PTA charges R2650 and they get it export ready with everything that is required including microdot and clearance.
What I am after is info on the Zim side. I can see on the GOV websites that there is a whole host of taxes payable but I need to understand what a landy of let's say R60k would end up costing me landed in Zim.
