How to reset Turbo-Driver
My Fortuner going several times in Limp mode with Error P1251/34 .
After several checks I had obliged to change the Turbo-driver located behind the glove box .
After replace the Turbo-driver with à new one; the Fortuner running well again , but the previous Turbo-driver never works again , despite erasing Error P1251/34 by disconnecting B+ battery during several minutes .
Anybody else could inform me if the Turbo-driver is definitely burnt or if I can Reset it by any process ?

Hi Bernard
The turbo driver is a control unit for the stepper motor on the turbo. If the stepper driver in the controller has burnt out it is due to high load on the stepper motor. The stepper motor or the driver will fail next/again.
The actuator ring and vanes are fouled up with carbon and are hard to move. This puts excessive strain on the stepper motor and the driver.
The solution is to remove the turbo and either replace or recondition it.
