So how did the wine taste?
Opened a bottle this past weekend. I'm no connoisseur, least of all with reds, but I must say it was very pleasant with a fruity palate. If I were to make any suggestions, I would say it's still a young wine, so let it lie for another 6 months to a year for the edge of the tannins to settle down a bit more. Maybe I'm off the mark, Christian can comment further if he wishes. ;-)

Still most enjoyable all the same.

Jissie Andy, not too shabby for an Eastern "Caper"! In fact, I am a bit hesitant to say something now.... Indeed the wine is made in a fruit driven style (taste some black cherries, red currants and raspberry). I would personally enjoy within the next year, although your style preference would dictate. 6 months would do it good because it has recently been bottled and some bottle shock may bug a few people. Ek kap hom sommer so without worries.

Most important, all pfaff aside, is that you enjoy it. It is a great social wine, unanimous friend and a convenor of good times. You, neither your mates, will be disappointed!

Christiaan informed me that it has been 8 months since our last round of club wine.

This time he has a nice 2013 Stellenbosch Merlot he can offer us at slightly reduced price.
This time it will be R33.00 per bottle.

You can order directly from Christian and arrange collection/shipment with him.
You can also pay Christian directly, he will pay the club a percentage after we sent out all orders.

We are still busy doing the label, so if you order now you will only be able to collect in a week or two from now.
