Yip I can do the normal 16Gb at R75 each but that is not my market.

These cards are aimed at Cameras and Video Cameras which need high transfer rates.

Yes, all Class 10 and yes Steve, that means they more slim than the others.

16Gb - Extreme - SDHC 60 Mb/s 16Gb - R220.00 (I can get for the same price)
32 Gb - Extreme - SDHC 60 Mb/s 32Gb - R370.00 (I can get for R280) ♥ ♥ ♥
16Gb - Extreme PLUS - Micro SDHC 60 Mb/s 16Gb - R410.00 The 60Mb/s is the "Extreme" - the Extreme PLus has a 95 Mb/s transfer rate. I can get 16Gb Extreme for R272 and 16Gb Extreme PLUS for R422

16Gb - Ultra - SDHC 40 Mb/s 16Gb - R120.00 (This is below dealer price)
32Gb - Ultra - SDHC 40 Mb/s 32Gb - R245.00 I can get for R240 - no big difference there
64Gb - Ultra - SDHC 40 Mb/s 64Gb - R535.00 I can get for R498

Thys I can get the MICRO SD 32Gb "Extreme" ( 60Mb/s) for R358
and can get the MICRO SD 32Gb "Extreme PLUS" (95Mb/s) for R588

All prices would be VAT incl but exclude postage. Additionally I would have to place an order that exceeds a total of R1500

Not sure if this helps much Pieter.

Cassie, those are all SanDisk prices, in the long run no other brand is worth buying.

You might get a bit lucky here and there with other brands, but as I understand it, SanDisk are by far the best producers of the memory wafers (I think that there are only two or three other producers world wide) - production of these wafers is in big sheets with thousands of individual chips that are then cut. Apparently the chips around the edges of the sheet are of a poorer quality and Sandisk sell those off to other memory stick manufacturers. Something else that I heard was that all the chips are the same capacity and transfer rate in every memory stick, but are choked electronically according to the specs - don't know how true that is.

I'm also told that SanDisk have a lifetime guarantee.

I use those SanDisk 32Gb jobbies in my GoPro, and believe me if the transfer rate is not up there the videos dont come out right. I did buy a Strontium card (R350) which was supposedly fast enough, C10 en alles, but I cannot use it in the GoPro. I have it in my phone now.

I have 2, a Lexar and one of these Sandisk cards.. They work the best. but I need a 3rd one for a backup, backup. In 1080 with 120fps less than 2 hours of video fits onto that card. Granted I dont always shoot in 120fps, but sometimes I forget.. And with the Bullrun coming up there's going to be lots of action going on, so I need cards.. and batteries.. hahahaha :shock2:

Van Wikipedia af:
SDHC
The Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC) format, announced in January 2006 and defined in version 2.0 of the SD specification, supports cards with capacities up to 32 GB.[2] The SDHC trademark is licensed to ensure compatibility.[6]
SDHC cards are physically and electrically identical to standard-capacity SD cards (SDSC). The major compatibility issues between SDHC and SDSC cards are the redefinition of the Card-Specific Data (CSD) register in version 2.0 (see below), and the fact that SDHC cards are shipped preformatted with the FAT32 file system.

SDXC
The Secure Digital eXtended Capacity (SDXC) format, announced in January 2009 and defined in version 3.01 of the SD specification, supports cards up to 2 TB (2048 GB), compared to a limit of 32 GB for SDHC cards in the SD 2.0 specification. SDXC adopts Microsoft's exFAT file system as a mandatory feature

:shock2: :shock2:

I did buy a Strontium card (R350) which was supposedly fast enough, C10 en alles, but I cannot use it in the GoPro

:shock2: :shock2:

jy reken die game raak duur ....

2010 koop ek n 5D2 .... omtrent 6 maande later word die 5D3 bekend gestel ... :naah:

:slap: :frustrated: :naah: :o:

LR4 werk nie of XP nie !!

Thys: 2x MicroSD SanDisk Extreme Pro - 95Mb/s 32 Gb
Pieter : 1x SanDisk Extreme Pro - 95Mb/s 64 Gb

Who else?

Interesting; I see the Extreme and Extreme Pro have lifetime warranty
Ultra has 10 years
The rest 5 years.

Thanks

Dis cool, as dit verby is is dit verby.. Ek was (on)gelukkig so besig by die bullrun dat daar nie veel tyd was vir videos nie.. So die 2 kaarte wat ek by my gehad het was genoeg.. :shock2: :shock2:
