Howsit All
Just doing a bit of PR for the Off Road rescue Unit.
Please all go and have a look at the new website:

If you look at the top you will see "Emergency Contact Details" I suggest you save some of these numbers for the day you may need them.
Also follow us on Twitter @OffRoadRescue
Cheers and be Safe

Re: Search and Rescue-save these numbers
Where all do they have units, Luke? Is it just the bigger centres or are they spread country wide?
When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.
Life is like a jar of Jalapeño peppers ... what you do today, might burn your ass tomorrow.
Don't take life too seriously ..... no-one gets out alive.
It's not about waiting for storms to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain.
And be yourself ..... everyone else is taken!

Re: Search and Rescue-save these numbers
ORRU has opperational units in Gauteng, Cape Town, Nelspruit, Middelburg!
If the situation is bad enough these units will travel, although the response time will be long.
We do also have access to Helicopters via our brother/sister organisation who flies with the airforce!
Nowhere is very far for an ORRYX!
Im a member of Gauteng and we will service everywhere within an 8 hour ish travel distance should the situation dictate.
We would even service Botswana, Mozambique, etc should it be required!

Thanks! ..... Maybe in time there will be a unit set up in the Eastern Cape. When that happens I will consider joining. I understand that it's volunteer work?

Re: Search and Rescue-save these numbers
Thanks Luke.
Andy, I've really wanted to gym, but with all the work pressure (some more added today) I hardly have time to change my mind, let alone do all the required training to qualify for ORRU.
