Howdy
Does anyone know or had any experience with Affinity Health Medical Aid. On paper it doesn't look too bad.
I'm looking at the combined Day-to-day and Hospital Plan for my 22yr Son.
The monthly premiums seem affordable for him with a little help from me - R850p/m for single member. (tried to load the 'pdf' file, but couldn't)

How do you load a 'pdf' file - the file is 670kb, but I get an error that it's too big.

Scott, you can also contact my wife Vicky. She is a registered Medical Aid broker, and can give you comparisons between most well known medical aids.

Not to be funny, but some medical insurance companies are cheap for a reason. Not saying Afinity is. I don't know them.
You get what you pay for.
Please read the fine print before making a decision. Also, as Bliksempie says: See a specialist before making up your mind.
I have seen too many times the unhappiness when I have to tell a patient that they are not covered for certain hospitals and would have to be taken to some dodgy government hospital

Jip ....
Looking at some medical aid options for 2017 - with one member
DISCOVERY
KeyCore - linked to salary bracket, and already over R900 for most of the options
Coastal CORE R 1 496
Coastal SAVER R 2 007
Smart Plan - Classic R 1 535
Smart Plan - Essential R 1 100
Basically R 1 500 and up for decent hospital cover, and R 2000 and up if you want some "savings"
same basic pricing guide applies when comparing other medical aids.
