Not a real off-roader at all but with fulltime 4x4 (visco couplings) it's extremely capable in soft sand, muddy or gravel roads .... that kind of thing. When it comes to ground clearance and articulation the vehicle is fairly limited but that's not what it was designed for. It's an RV (Recreational Vehicle). It's independent suspension is fairly soft an gives a soft ride like a 'platkar'. For what you describe it should be ideal.
When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.

A mate of mine in Botswana has a SWB. Never did I hear him complain about anything! Always refer to it as his Tuff Toy. Fantastic in sand!
