I think it is just a case of trying to cover up his "short"comings.

Re: A hummer driver that hates Toyotas and Jeeps..ooops
just seen this on the other forum, and decided to rather not reply, sometimes it's just not worth it.
I always say, people with money (well earned and "old" money) never tell you they are rich, those who wants you to believe they are ain't really have any but have a complex about it.
how can we all like the same woman ??? we should be different with different opinions, and respect each other in theirs, and a jokingly comment about each other's rigs is a conversation starter, but be decent about it.
Remove the ey-caps and grow up is all I can tell that guy, my I never have to share a campfire with such.

I wonder who ............... It was still there just a short while ago!
When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.
Life is like a jar of Jalapeño peppers ... what you do today, might burn your ass tomorrow.
Don't take life too seriously ..... no-one gets out alive.
It's not about waiting for storms to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain.
And be yourself ..... everyone else is taken!

Re: A hummer driver that hates Toyotas and Jeeps..ooops
Ja look, he had a point IRO the oke that ragged him about his Hummer ... one doesn't approach a complete stranger and rip him off about his choice of vehicle in an offish manner. I too have little respect for the civilian Hummer, but would reserve comment, or at the very least make it very obvious that it was in a friendly and joking manner.
That said, "Seven days frozen" took it too far by responding with a brand bashing of his own to an unrelated audience and then still including "F-ing" Toyotas ..... perhaps the seven days was a bit too long (I was tempted to say as much on his thread but though the better of it ..... would have just added fuel to the fire).
I enjoy the occasional quip, but brand bashing can so easily be taken too far.

I agree that he could have been upset about the initial contact with that Jeep guy, but he seriously lost it afterwards.... Obviously some deep seated issues there... I was amazed that the post remained there that long, if it has been removed....

I have a friend that bought the H3 - brand spanking new, sent it straight to be KITTED to the hilt ......
I think they did ONE 4x4 trip with it !
It is his daily drive.
When he wants to OFF ROAD he takes mommies Landy .... did so a few years back and WON in his class, on a VERY muddy day. had the Landy cleaned before going home - mommy thought he was a spectator .....
Hummer owners are complex beings . . .

Re: A hummer driver that hates Toyotas and Jeeps..ooops
Just thinking about that maybe I must contact our friend with the Hummer and ask if it was'nt his rant, naah not his style, and not a forum type a guy.... but I'll ask him anyway... Just remembered, I think it was another province anyway....ThysdJ wrote:He just had a bad day... poor soul.. That chap has a major chip on his shoulder. He has since started another thread in similar vein but not as hate-filled as the first one.
