Yep those old Dakotas were and still are legendary machines, noisy and rough like a SFA, but just as reliable. :D:

Guys those Dak's are legendary... Respect!! And they were designed and built by the Yanks.. Same as Jeep.. at the same time when Jeeps first came out... :twisted: :twisted: :twisted: :twisted:

The Hilux has some way to go to reach that status..

Legendary status all over the world.. Hilux is only a legend in South Africa and a few other places.. :twisted: :twisted:

Aerodynamically that Dak is not even supposed to be able to fly.. but it does... and it does so well!! :thumbup: :thumbup:

The last time Jeeps had "Status" was WW2, the rest of the world caught up and passed them soon after, the Jeep guys are seriously living in the past.

Hehe ... OK, but in all honesty, the Willy's deserves legendary status ... not sure about any of the other Jeeps (think that's what Allan meant as well).

Other aeronautical legends would have to include the Harvards and Spitfires .............
