Sal fotos post sodra ons more by die huis is.
Is gebed jou spaarwiel of jou stuurwiel?

As hy uitcheck, armtech inPotch doen twee deel kolwe vir billike pryse.

Hi Trevor
I am a collector of historical firearms. My opinion is don’t touch the 303. You are talking of the 22/410 that is more than 40 years old. Well the 303 actually has more value as a historical piece. If you have to, then only do modifications that can be reversed. Too many of these fine old ladies are being butchered. The same happened with the Colt 1911 pistols. Almost all have been “improved”. Today an unmolested example fetches big money.

Unfortunately in South Africa these days few firearms mean anything for collectors. (Maybe across the border in Namibia it is different).
I sit with a Colt Delta Elite Government, and Colt Delta Elite Gold Cup that I cannot give away.
Companies like Classic Arms and Blunderbuss sat with shopping trollies full of .303's in stock standard military guise months ago. Many of them probably went to Scaw metals to be turned into roller mill balls.

Re: .22/410 en 303
The side-by-side .22 / 410 is a baby version of the 'cape gun' ..... I have an old Wesley Richards .303 / 12 br cape gun ... heavy as hell, was originally for black powder but was later "Nitro-proofed" without modification. (They probably just loaded it up a couple of times with nitro powder cartridges and fired it a few times to see if it held, and then just stamped it. )
Keep the cape gun, might not be worth so much now but until it becomes of more value you can use it for vermin.

Hello Heinrich
I will take the Colts if your giving them away.
Sorry but I have to disagree. The better condition 303s have all found new homes at the Classic Arms Auctions I have attended. And I’ve been to many! Sure some of the worst ones are stripped down for spares or de-activated.
Trevor please take your 303 to Andrew at Classic Arms for an evaluation before you start the conversion. There are certain models that are very rare and worth a lot of money. They may all look the same but a simple thing like markings or the factory where it was made can make a big difference

Re: .22/410 en 303
Roelof, Andrew at Classic and Trevor is more than a short drive from each other.
Sorry, but I have to double disagree. Been to Scaw more than once, and saw what went into those furnaces. And I am a very regular visitor to the Classic Arms safes.
What you see on auction is not everything.

I am looking at option of exporting them to the US where they can end in a proper collection.

Hi Trevor
Yes it would not be worth much as a collector’s piece if someone had hacked off a section of the barrel.
You have done a very nice job with changing it to a usable gun. It really looks good.
The sights are marked of in yards. When it is folded down you get 200 to 500 yards.
To aim further you flip it up and them it is graded from 600 (marked 6) to 1700 yards (marked 17)

Re: .22/410 en 303
Sal dit 'n groot verskil maak in sy akuraatheid, as ek die loop so 5-8cm korter laat maak?
