Willie Engelbrecht back in business

Post by Polarbear2008 »

For those who know him, Willie is back in business in Cape Town: http://cyclebase.co.za" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

From what i understand it is a small operation with just himself and a mechanic. The shop is in Durban rd in the centre next to the Toyota dealership. Where the Renault outlet is before yoxu get to Orms.

thus RIGHT BELOW our offices ....

saw a new bike shop opened a week or two back ... I must pop in and greet him. Spent some money in his shop in TygerManor back in the day - and then my knees packed up.

Rumors has it that he usually goes to big and ends up in debt, apparently it has happened a few times with him, but he is good at what he does.

Chris Wilmse has gone through this a couple of times as well ...

thing is our market is just not big enough .... and MOST of the buyers DO shop around, and most will just as easily import items that are priced disproportionately ....

and after the talk of money .... it is "humourous" watching the track cycling ... the "have's" and the "have nots" - ESPECIALLY when the later out CYCLES the former ....

But not having to pedal and two stocked fridges on board makes your clothes shrink.
