Earlier this year we brought in a couple of these torches, and were most impressed by their performance. In fact, using them on a twice-weekly basis, we are still running with the original AAA batteries. The beam is exceptional and comprises a brilliant white light, shining easily for some 50 Meteres plus. It is impossible to look into the beam. The torch is tiny (130mm x 40mm at the reflector) and easily fits inside a handbag or cubby hole. The torch is water proof.
Torch 5W LED.jpg
So a few months later we brought in some more and began to market them. All reports received were in favour of an excellent product.

I have now brought in 30, and here the seller slipped up. He provided incorrect information on the overseas invoice and Customs & Excise got in a huddle about this and attached a hefty fine before they were released. Whether we will still bother to bring them in again now remains questionable and we will have to see if these move first. The price is now at our direct cost, we have not marked these up at all but they still sell for about 40% less than they were where I saw them advertised elsewhere. Batteries are not included, you will require three AAA batteries.
Torch Interior.jpg
The torches are fully waterproof, constructed of high-quality black aluminium, and the beam they emit is something else! The idea is to keep them handy anywhere for those unexpected power-outs, working in dark corners, fumbliing with locks & keys etc.

Cost: R190.00 per torch, VAT included. Delivery R60.00 additional at normal Speed Services Overnight rates.

(The torches weigh in at around 200gms, so we can send a total of five torches for R60.00 if some guys from one area club together).

Ideal Christmas Present for your Staff and your Hilux's!

Thomas, normal parcel post might be slightly cheaper, but Speed Post is R60 for the first Kg, the torches weigh in at around 200gms sans batteries. I would prefer Speed Post, overnight delivery and with a tracking number.

Niel, noted!

26 torches left... !

Mark, have no idea. Not stated anywhere and I don't know my Lumens from my Onions. By far the brightest torch in its class that I have ever seen.

Guess Bulldog is safe then, as I will be working from home tomorrow. We're removing a giant Syringa tree and a couple of Conifers that are past their sell-by date. But you're welcome to stop by here, organising one for you is quick & painless.

The other torches will more than likely only be posted Friday, unless we finish early tomorrow.

Two people have already come to collect in person, and I think we may just have only two or three torches left - I'm not at the shop today so have now lost count.

So I should bring in more?

Hey Guys,

You should each have received this shamefully "copied & pasted" message:

---

All torches were sent off yesterday via Speed Post, should arrive today.

Tracking No.: TCxxxxxxxxxxxxxZA

Enjoy it and please let me know what your impressions of the torch are.

---

Hope I did not inadvertently repeat incorrect tracking numbers...

So have the other guys received their torches yet?

Hi Eric,
Baie dankie. Ek het my toorts gekry.

Eric,
With the system being so economical wrt the lifespan of the batteries the batteries might get old before they are exhausted; advice on the type of batteries you use :?: I would hate "leaking" (from old age) batteries damaging the torch  :wth:
I hope to pick up mine tomorrow, was out of town ysterday

Tinus, ons gebruik 95% Duracell batterye, het nog nooit 'n probleem met lekkemde batterye gehad nie. Probleem, of sal ek se skokkend as mens kyk na die prys van batterye deesdae....... :o:

Any sort of Alkaline battery will do. Although they all might claim to be leakproof, they are not, they do tend to 'sweat' after a while. I use either Energiser or Eveready and have found they last for 2-3 years with ease in remote controllers etc. Best is to check the expiry dates printed on the packs when you buy batteries, they are usually good for 4 years.

Has anyone else tried their torches yet? Would love to receive your input!

They should send you a notification or you can phone them with your tracking number and they will be able to tell you if it's there already

Jan, you're supposed to collect from your nearest PO - you did receive my PM on Friday with the tracking number?

Having said that, one of the members phoned me yesterday to query this and within five minutes of putting the phone down, the PO delivered it to his physical address, even though it was sent counter-counter.

Please check and let me know that the torches are all working 100%, and remember you need AAA batteries for them, not penlights. And please do not look into the reflector when the torch is on - you only have one pair of eyes!

I also found one like that, but after eating my Doggy Din-Din, I was able to unscrew the base for the batteries ;)

The knurled part at the bottom is part of the torch main body, the whole portion below it unscrews.
