How to CORRECTLY fold and Echo 3 trailer tent - help please!

Post by Polarbear2008 »

I took delivery of my Echo 3 today (from the previous owner) and only when I got home, did I realise that I have no clue how to get the tent folded so that it NEATLY fits back into the cover.

2 tries later and it is all in, but I am not happy with the lopsided way the cover lies on the trailer. The fact that the poles are inside the cover pushes it down onto the tent making it look even MORE lopsided.

I would appreciate any help with this, as I am sure that there is a RIGHT way to do this?

Thanks so far, and attached is a photo of her. The nosecone was on there when I bought it. It can house a fridge (side opening door) and the lid opens to an area for tentpegs and small items. (Not sure if I am keeping it though - as it adds a lot of weight to the drawbar)!

I've had mine for 5 odd years now and I'm not sure there's a right or a wrong way. It is very dependent on whether you leave your awnings in place and also how many sidewalls you leave attached.

What I do is fill the lower spaces with things like the towel rack, the ground sheet and this all helps to "even" out the look. To get it perfect, don't think this is possible.

I sold them for 2 years and can't remember even getting new ones looking perfect.

The most important time to have it perfect is when it's set up and you're sitting in your camping chair with a bitterly cold "somethingorother" admiring a beautiful view.

Enjoy your trailer, they are magic..

Agree, I had mine for 3 years now, and everytime it ends up differently. As long as the cover fits perfectly and you know you had not left SWAMBO inside, it's ok :)
