Campmaster trailers

Post by oxydog »

A colleague of mine is currently looking at offroad and semi-offroad trailers and was wondering how the Campmasters perform. I promised him a verdict within 30 minutes and I know this forum won't disappoint.

The campmaster I had performed perfect and is well built. They are produced by a company in Bothaville http://www.karet.co.za" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Cassie, do they make the Campmaster brand (those that Makro sells) as well? I thought they were a separate company?

Jip.. I once phoned them to get a replacement fender for a Camp Master Trailer. You can buy from them directly but the price is basically the same as you will pay at Makro (or that is what they quoted me at that stage)

Thanks - never realized it was Karet that made them. Certainly nothing wrong with Karet's trailers.

I looked at them when I was in the market for a trailer, but found the sheetmetal abit thin for off-road use and the ones at Makro already showed signs of rust! Not sure how long they were already there, so it is just an observation, but I decided there and then that I was not going to part with (I think it was R28k) for a rust infested example....

Thanks Theunis, will keep that in mind. Could it be that the rust is an effect of the humidity? I see you're in CT?

Ek wil graag n Conquerer sleepwa he,maar ongelukkig is die waens bietjie buite my finansieele bereik. Naverkoops diens gaan jy by hulle kry.

Sterkte.

Jarus

(In my opinie).
