Information on 84-97 4x2 please

Post by KIL390 »

I am looking at buing a Hilux and would like to get to know our local vehicles. I have done some internet trawling and found out a lot of useful information but do not have much on our local products. I am looking at around the 1988 year mark(the 84-88/97 model), 4x2, 4Y or 22R engined. This is not so much for an offroad vehicle but as a daily drive that can go anywhere  . Help is greatly appreciated.

I have a few questions:

-Where can i find road tests and brochures? I would like to get information on local equipment levels and specifications.
-Are all 4x2 IFS? If not i would like to know which did as it is something i want.
-Which were high riders and which were workhorse models?
-Any difference between the 84-88 and extended run(till 97) models?

No. 4x2 are available in SFA or IFS.

All Raiders are High Rise, but you did get 4x4 High Rise models as well, t least in the IFS range.
