Hi guys,
Just wondering if any of you know of a ring and pinion / finnal drive available for the 2.7vvti (2006 D/C) thats between a 3.3 to a 3.7 ratio. I was hoping to use a 3.0 D4D 3rd member but aparently they are not interchangable with the 2.7vvti
Thanks!
2.7vvti ring&pinion / finnal drive.

You can use the 3.0 d4d 3rd member, but you have to cut a piece out and drill three new holes to make space for the locker

Thanks Hoppy, thats what I wanted to hear, now to find a D4D 3rd member!
I dont suppose you would know what radio the D4D's are and if there was any changes thought he years or 4x2 / 4x4 differences, I seem to be getting quite a lot of conflicting information. I am trying to find the highest range I can go because the V8 im using is making its torque really low down, easier at the moment to pull away in 2nd than it is 1st.

Have a look under my post
5,29 ring and pinion
I have changed my 3,9 ratio D4D members
With 5,29
Still have the 2 sets of loose ring and pinions if you are intrested .

Hi David, from what I understand the Ring and Pinion from the D4D are not compatible, I would need the complete 3rd member as Hoppy mentioned, if you have a complete rear member I would be interested though.

The pinion angle and spacing differs on different ratio's, you'll have to get a complete 3rd member

Re: 2.7vvti ring&pinion / finnal drive.
The old inport diff aka YN Diff
Know in US as 4 cylinder 3rd Memeber
avalib ratio's 3.1 -> 5.71
New inport diff d4d , 2,7vvti etc THESE WITH E-LOCKERS
Know in US as a V6 housing or E-locker
Avalib ratio's 31. -> 5.71
You can swap 4 cyl parts into V6 Or e-Locker housing
but you will need a spacer for the ring gear .
But E-Locker ring gear and pinion will not fit in 4 Cylinder

Have a look at this ---> viewtopic.php?f=93&t=26489" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
you will see how bulky v6 or elocker parts are
The 4 Cyl are thin and smaller

Thanks for the info!
If the US V6/E-locker unit will work as a complete 3rd member into our new import diff then thats probably the way to go as our locals are just retarded with their asking price, cheaper to import a complete 3rd member from the US.
