URGENT Advice needed (Good deal or not)

Post by reon »

Hi Guys, I have made an offer on a bakkie and I want to know if it is a good deal before I go through with the final paperwork.
It is for a white 2010 Hilux 3.0 D4D Double Cab 4x2 with an Automatic gearbox and 81 000km on the clock. The asking price is R300 000 and it is from InspectaCar.

Is the automatic gearbox good? Do I have to get a 4x4, are the services going to be expensive? What do I have to be carefull about?

Any advice would be appreciated !

Thanks

Yoh! Maybe I'm "out of touch" with pricing, but for a 2 year old model that sounds very high! Km's are lowish, but to my mind nothing to get too exited about .... and then it's just a 2x4. If I recall, some of the auto boxes used to have a bit of a 'hunting' problem, switching between gears unnecessarily.

Let's hear what others have to say, I could be off the mark, but I would skip the deal. My apologies for the negative feed-back.

I suppose it depends on your intended use of the bakkie... but I personally prefer a 4x4. Had a 2x4 before and frustrated about some of the places I could not get to with it... in spite of fitting a rear difflock..

4x4 or 4x2 all depends on what you need it for

That price sounds a bit high,2011 3 d4d 4x4 with extras was standing by carnival Toyota for R309 000,had just over 120000 kms on clock,my brother in law bought it.So maybe look around.

In my unqualified experience, I find some Inspectacar franchises VERY expensive - and I've even heard of schocking service, or actually, non-service.

But thats just my opinion; Horses for courses!

Go to Automark for peace of mind.

I have seen 2010 4X4's going for that price!
