I need to replace those bridgestone HT840's soon, but considering a lager tyre and other type. Those 255/70x15 looks a bit lost in those wheel arches, and the speedo is about 7% optimistic.
Which one will be beter? The 265/70X15 or 265/75x15 / 31' tyre.
I am looking at Bridgestone 694, although I stay 95% on tar surface.
Any comments.
Thanks

Cannot go wrong with the 694's got 110 000km out of my new set on my Hilux Raider and must say I do kinda drive aggressive.
They have EXCELLENT grip on the tar. I'm in the process of going Maxxis Bighorn just for a change.

I had to eventually replaced the D840's at 112 000km with D694's. Quit happy so far, it's a huge improvement on gravel also.

I have just covered 30k kms with them D694's - they get even better the more they wear.
And as you say - great on gravel and muddy dirt roads - braking is also far superior to the H/T. Sucks more Diesel - but who cares!!!
