I need some help with the installation of a new petrol pump, is there a specific way that the new pump must go in ?

The diaphragm dome with the connection pipes must go to the top. There are 3 connection pipes ...... one (on the side) will be marked "IN" .... this one must be connected to the fuel pipe that comes from the fuel filter. The one on the top should be marked "R" .... this is the return and connected to the pipe that runs down and under the vehicle. The 3rd is of course connected to the carb.
