I had SAC do it, just told them that they must put in a Sachs, Toyota themselves will also do it if you specify.

Wat kom Toyota mee uit, is dit nie beter om n clutch by Toyota te koop en dit self in te sit nie? Of is Sachs n beter roep.

Jacques, apparently they do both Sachs and Luk when they come out new, just depends what is in stock. When they replace though I think you can insist, if they don't have stock, you may have to wait till they can get for you. I'm telling you, do yourself a favour, insist on sachs!!

Ok, So I bought a Sachs, it was delivered today with courier, the box is a Sachs, but the clutch itself has got Aisin stamps on it. Is it the same clutch or are they bull$h!tt!ng me?

I don't know if Aisin and Sachs have any connection but I do know that Aisin supply clutches to Toyota. So it is probably not a Sachs but it is still a good clutch. Was the box sealed?

No it wasn't sealed, I know Aisin is a good clutch but I paid for a Sachs, if a Aisin is maybe cheaper I want to know if the dealer is dishonest.

All I can say is that the Sachs Clutches I have installed (admittedly for other vehicles) were clearly stamped Sachs on the metal.

I replaced the clutch this morning, My dad and myself started at around 10:30 and was done by 19:15. It was my first time replacing a clutch. Not something I want to do any time soon. Does any one know how much the labour is if someone is doing the clutch for you?
