Intercooler on a 2.5 D4D Hilux

Ek wil n intercooler op my 2.5 sit. Kan dit die engin seer maak? Wat is die voor en nadele?

nee dit sal nie die enjin seermaak nie, inteendeel dit kan net 'n goeie ding wees. Ek weet van ouens wat 'n Ford 2.5TD se intercooler ingesit het, 'n chip en tune en wat amper dieselfde krag kry as 'n std 3.0 D4D.

Hello Louis, welkom op die forum.


Hoppy (Allan) KEN van Hiluxe, en hy het vir my raad gegee oor ons 2,5:

1) verwyder daai enorme silencer, en sit n free flow box in. NIE nodig om enige iets anders te doen aan die exhaust nie

2) Intercooler - plaaslik het hy my verwys na n goeie verskaffer .... sit dan ook n EGT in !!

3) Hierna het hy my gestuur om n Uni-chip te laat insit en dyno tune.



na stap EEN gaan jy die verskil VOEL !!!! :) MINDER turbo lag, en hy stol nie meer teen 2500 revs nie ...

na daai chip in is kan jy gemaklik 110 tot 120 ry EN jy het nog krag om verby te steek - ONTHOU daai EGT !!



met die uni-chip (enige chip) POMP jy diesel in teen full throttle, en die exhaust temperature hardloop HOOG ... met die EGT kan jy sien wat aangaan en jy weet wanneer om bietjie af te slek.

Ek het dieselfde plan met myne. Het iemand dalk 'n foto of twee van die "plumbing". Ek het 'n "front mount" cooler en moet die pypwerk uitsorteer.

Does anybody know if the 3.0 D4D intercooler will be a straight fit on a 2.5 D4D engine (2013 model)?
Is it worth it or should I rather look at an aftermarket intercooler?

If it is possible, what items should be on my picklist? So I can go to scrapyard and start searching for all the items I need
