Its a mechanical locker that kicks in if you apply torque... Apparently they are a front side shafts nightmare... I have read up on it and auto lockers should preferably only be used at the back...

Agree with Hangover. In the past when I was still stupid and drove Isuzu I had a Ausielocker in. I broke cvs like toothpicks.

Will I fit a frontlocker again? No

It takes all the fun out of playing and is costing you money.

If you really want to install a locker get something that you switch off.

Ask Caskru how the cv sounded when it exploded with a Bridgestone challenge.

Can't go wrong with an ARB locker. Have front and rears in mine and could not be happier. The only possible downside is the pressure lines need to be protected from damage do placement is critical.

Yes select-able lockers are awesome but at +-20K for your first ARB one you can snap a few side shafts in the front. At the rear they are normally very sturdy and only by going ape sh@t do you normally break them... You have to get use to they clicking though but with long wheel base that is not that bad at all... If you can justify a ARB in front and have the money ill say go for it... If you have a toy and need that extra bit of play traction fit a mechanical in the back...
