Diesel fuel filters

Just had bad news that my injector pump is badly damaged due to loads of sludge and dirt from diesel fuel tank and fuel line. It an old 1999 Hilux that never given any trouble and got 420000 on clock. Unfortunately had to have tank flushed, pump and injectors completely overhauled. Been told to fit an extra fuel filter in line. Does anyone know what is the best diesel fuel filter to get and from where?

Racor water separator and GOOD filter in one cost a bit but is still cheaper than injector pump overhaul.

Anyone know where I can buy a Donaldson 4x4 heavy duty filter kit from? P903316. It's a new kit available for 4x4's.

Donaldson don't have the New P903316 kits in South Africa so going with the Racor Kit. Comes with mounting plate, all hardware, 2 filters(1 spare). Is expensive at R2120 but gotta do it. Anyone know where i can get it cheaper?

In Pta there is a kit available I think around R1800 for Donaldson with water separator and filters 2 micron. The okes behind the counter say it is the D4D kit, so I would think that it will work for you.

Thanks very much. I got the Racor Kit. Same price as Donaldson. Also 2 Micron. The Donaldson agents by me told me they don't do a filter for my bakkie. Think they were just no prepared to even help.

Ek het al 5 op gesit. Baie vinnig en geen probleme met toevoer of so nie....net gemoedsrus.
Ek het al in die glasie vuilgoed gesien wat die Donaldson gekeer het wat die OEM gemis het. En dit was deur Toyota vervang op die laaste diens.....
