Trailer plug and ABS light

Hi guys,

When I insert my trailer's plug into the socket, my ABS light won't switch off. I have to do some maintenance on the plug's wiring, but I just want to make sure that that is the cause. I just find it strange!?!?

I have the exact opposite on my 2000 KZTE. Both rear bearings and seals were replaced. Unfortunately the appie that did the job didn't clean the housing area where the abs rotors are properly. So I have a bit of diff oil constantly getting the rear abs sensors and rotors "dirty". My abs light now stays on permanently. But it does go off when I plug in a trailer. Need to make time to pull everything apart, clean and bleed...

So to make a long story short. Check your rear abs sensors too. You might have a leaking side shaft seal.

Ag no man Johan, just when I thought everything was sorted for my trip to the WC...

I think I'll have Toyota have a look when she goes for her 190 000 next week. Thanks for the heads up!
