Diff play advice needed

I took it apon myself to strip my kz Gearmax diff last night.
The side shaft splines seem fine.
The back lash on the pinion and crown seems fine and not worn .
The spider gears looks worn.
Found like a grinding paste inside the housing where the. Sun and spider gears run.
Questions.
1.can this cause a back lash effect?
2.how much play is there on the side shaft when inside the sun gear.
