Hi guys,
Haven't posted in ages!!!! Moved to the other side of the planet in the meantime, but heading back home soon haha.
Hope that all is well and that these yotas are still getting driven.
Need some advice on fluids today.
I want to flush out all fluids from my 2.2 SFA (Engine, radiator, gearbox and diffs) and replace them.
Question is with what? What would be the best brand and grade of the following;
Engine oil
Radiator fluid
Diff oil
Gearbox oil
Also, any recommended brands of oil and petrol filters?
I want the best for my truck so cost is not an option.
Time to get her going again and out of hibernation

Bruno, there is no need to replace gearbox and diff oils if they have not been contaminated.
On the 4Y I would say that Shell Helix is more than adequate (use it myself).
The Toyota antifreeze is a good product, but so are many of the others out there. Just get a decent quality - you're going to replace it in a year or so anyway.
On filters use Gud or Fram (I suspect they're made in the same factory anyway).

Re: Changing all fluids 2.2 4y
Hi Bruno . I am fairly new on the forum .. There are a few threads indicating what oils and fluids to use , And a lot of different opinions . I suggest find a thread that suits you and go with it . I have just done my vehicleI used Castrol GTX 20w-50 in the engine . . I used 80w-90 axle oil in my diffs and gearbox . But I am not happy with my performance on my gear box , So I will ask around a bit , Talk to a couple workshops as well .Possible change the gearbox oil again.
