Still sounds like a bad earth or a short somewhere. Has the harness been damaged or pinched anywhere that you can see?
When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.

Hey Mud dog what harness should I check?
The car has just had its brakes overhauled.
This problem started after that

Well there's most likely the problem - they may have damaged the ABS ring or the wiring at the wheel. Take it back to them and tell them what's happening and they must sort it out.
I've heard of a few instances where this happens - they put an appy, someone unfamiliar with ABS systems or careless mechanic on the job and then there's a problem. If it's the ABS ring it will cost a small packet so let them sort it out.

Hi Bryan, replace the LED brake lights you installed or check that all the bulbs are still in in working order. I had a issue with my old KZ where the ABS light would stay on due to the LED brake light bulbs I installed. As soon as I hitched a trailer problem would be gone. If that ain't the issue pull each of the sensors or each wheel and inspect. When I lost a left rear wheel bearing the abs rotor ate the sensor. I managed to source a replacement sensor from a scrap yard for R300.
