Body part name/description?
Ok so I just bought a BT50 single cab from my employer at a VERY good price! Paid for it on thursday...
Tonight I quickly popped into town to get some things and hit a Njala bull on the way home (a njala in the middle of the free state!).
Tomorrow I need to get on the horn and source some replacement body panels. But I don't know what all of them are called...
Left fender + light - buggered.
Front bumper - buggered.
What does one call the panel in the front onto which the bumper and radiater is attached? The one that basically bolts onto the left + right fender (or vica versa)?
Would it be a cradle?
There seems to be no damage to tge steering/suspension. Only the panels mentioned as well as the radiator.
Any help would appreciated.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune. If you did pick up the bull for biltong I would not state it on this forum as it is an offence to do that.
Is that the piece of metal that the radiator "stands" on and the bumper is attached to? If it is that is called the cradle.

Re: Body part name/description?
It's not the part that the radiator actually stands on... rather the panel that is against the front of the radiator - to which your headlamps are fixed.

Re: Body part name/description?
Don't think so Marnus, the valance is the exterior trim panel under the bumper - most newer vehicles have the 'valance' incorporated into the bumper itself.

Re: Body part name/description?
OK so on one website selling restoration body parts for cars I see that they refer to it as the "radiator support panel". I am not sure if that is used universally or just in the States because on another website I saw it referred to as a header panel.
