4.0 V6 Noisy Lifters

Post by Veeses »

A while ago in one of the posts someone mention that there is a valve on the intake manifold of the 4.0 V6 that makes a tik tik sounds that sounds like a noisy lifter, does anyone know where this valve might be?

It is the VSV for EVAP.
Resonates with the plastic intake assembly at idle.
You need to isolate it with 2x rubber gaskets or O-rings.
Pics are getting scarce, so use this link from Tacomaworld:

OH, btw, welcome to the forum.
