I'm fitting Cruizer shocks to my lifted SFA Hilux.

I'm not sure why you would want to do this but know that the compressed length and the fully extended length of the shock are both of importance. If the shock 'bottoms out' under compression it will be totally buggered. If it extends too short you don't get the optimal travel which of course affects the articulation and if it extends too far you can (and will) invert the shackles unless they are after market shackles with an anti-inversion feature.

So be careful that you fit shocks which are compatible with your vehicle. If you are looking for something harder because of the nature of the vehicle's use (heavy loads etc.) then maybe fit Gabriel Safari's and if you're looking for something softer, you could look at Monroe's. :winkx:

P.S. Posted the above earlier this morning after your first post, but internet service in the greater East London area was down for a number of hours, so forgive me if it's no longer useful info. :winkx:

I fitted Cruizer Monroes today as above. My old OME N84 (front) and N85 (rear) only had 2" of downward travel remaining (and they were tired anyway) after I fitted 2" extended shackles, and a set of 2" lift OME leafsprings all around.

Now I've got much more downward travel, and bumpstops will be extended ro prevent damage during compression. Extended brake lines also fitted now.

 Sounds like you know what you're doing and my concerns about suffering damage are unfounded. Good luck. :winkx:

Hilton, once we reprogram your radio we are going to have to do something about the antenna. The new one will be ±470mm high and the coil will be replaced with a spring - see the radio sticky for the reasons why.

Then we need to find a new mounting place for it as well, it is too low where it is.

Other than that, you have a dream vehicle! But why do I think you used to have a SFA?

Ah yes, the KZTE put me off, guess I should have read the full vehicle description. Obviously had an engine transplant!
