Emergency Tyre Repairs

Post by Family_Dog »

Sounds straight forward enough, but then it happens, and you forget all you ever knew.

Here is an excellent photo-guide on how to do it yourself.

But, beware of a cheap tyre repair kit, you could do some serious damage to yourself. The kit sold by the sponsors of the article is presumably of high quality, not the normal cheapie that some Spares Shops seem to sell.

For those who want to learn more about tyres and puncture repair should consider the tyre repair workshop DVD which by Johann(Tyre) Viljoen presented and is sold by Morne Stevens.
I've also got a nice set of notes on tyre repair, don't remember exactly who it came from , but I do remember being told I shouldn't distribute it....I'll try and see who's the author and get permission to maybe scan it and post it.

Good idea! Morne has quite a few worthwhile DVDs and I would be quite happy to support him.
