"setting" torque converter slip?

Hi guys, I'm a newbie here. Finally got a Hilux and like your forum, so I joined.
I couldn't find this topic, if you've already discussed please redirect me.
I have a 2.8 GD-6 Auto. The TC slip seems excessive to me. Even at highway speeds, slight throttle input will see some slip for almost 10 seconds before locking up again.
Putting it in "S" is the same as driving in "D". "s" also doesn't hold the gear - throttle input (and not a lot at that), sees it downshifting.
Is this normal?
Thanks

Welcome Philip, being a GD-6, which means it's a new Revo, I would take it back to Toyota.
Hopefully they will sort it out.

Have you checked the dipstick level and colour of the ATF in the box?

Hi guys, nope, not yet. But good idea.
I contacted Toyota and took the workshop manager for a test drive. He seemed very unsure whether it's normal, but said he is contacting the tech guys at the factory and will contact me when he can visit, then we'll test drive again.
Will update once there's an informed opinion!
