A very good morning to all.
This is my first post on this forum .............. I have just become the proud owner of my first Hilux (2018 2.4 GD6 DC 4X4). After 5 years of great service it was time to sell my Defender (2.4 Puma) and move on!
I have just waded through the 900+ pages of the manual trying to find if there is a specific procedure to follow when you disconnect the battery ( I am planning on installing a second battery for fridge etc). Either I read to fast or missed it completely, but cannot find anything. Must the radio be reset? Can anyone perhaps assist?
Cheers

I do not know this for a fact but there should not be an issue. You will probably loose the radio station settings etc. Obviously you disconnect the earth first so that you do not cause any short circuits if you accidentally touch any bare metal with the spanner when you undo the positive terminal clamp.

I don't think so Mars covered all there is . This a Toyota nothing to it when disconnecting battery. Some other makes would require a visit to the dealershipSamM wrote:Thanks Marnus. Hopefully there will be a few more comments later.
