Ek het die afgelope naweek my bakkie se klap so stofdig as moontlik gemaak. Die rubber wat ek gebruik het ek na ‘n lang gesoek by Rubberite gekry – afdeling van Hudson Rubber. Die bestuurder daar – Neil Strydom – was ‘n reuse hulp en het sommer self help meet en knip en plak – het vir 4 bakkies rubber nodig gehad. So vir die van julle wat graag daai gaping tussen klap en die briekligte wil seel – die man weet nou hoe. :clap:

Sal foto's neem en opsit. Mark dit het maar vir 8 stukke van daai rubber (4 Hilux bakkies) R120 gekos - was vir 4 meter. Let wel, dit is nou die rubber aan die kant van die klap. Aan die onderkant van die klap het ons die normale sponsrubber wat 'n gom gedeelte aan die een kant het geplak - kan dit by enige Midas/Builders ens koop...

Die een ou het onder sy tonneua cover ingeklim en ons het hom toegemaak. Hy kon geen lig enige plek sien inkom nie...

Rubber fits behind clamp.

Sponge rubber with sticky bottom used here.
Double Cab1.jpg
Rubber has groove that fits perfectly onto the body. Has steel on inside so when squeezed - creates tight fit.

With rubber super glue a seperate piece of rubber was glue to fit over the hilux rubber cusion.

Ek hou van die idee! Toyota het duidelik net halfpad gedink hier en die kaal plaat gelos :(
