Just thought I would let u guys know how cheap and easy it is to have your rims or whateva u want powder coated in your desired colour, even nipple pink if that turns u on. I spray painted rims once before for my offroad trailer which looked nice but started chipping quickly and the cost of automotive paint makes it expensive.
For Rock-Spider jnr in progress, I bought 5 negative offset steel prowhite rims at R396 each from Malas. Just had them black powder coated at R300 for all 5!! What a bargain! And they look spiffy. You can powder coat just about anything. My alluminium canopy still to come, will also be black powder coated. It works out to around R60 per sq metre.
The company is Procotech in Stormill Roodepoort, tel. 011-474-1602.
I have 6 standard 2004 rims for sale with well worn but usable Cooper muds on them for sale. Before Hennie !@! me out, dont worry, I will still take photos of all the for sale stuff and advertise them in the right place. Just need time.

Leon, do you know if they can do dual colours on an object? For instance on the inner part of the rim one colour and the part the tyre fits to another?
Do you know if they sandblast them before powder coating?

I am sure they do something similar, if not sand blasting. The guy did say that they treat the steel before powder coating. Give them a call, the number is mentioned. Powder coating is just a different method of spraypaining, so I would assume you can have it rainbow colour coated if you like.

It is easily done with masking Cassie. As Leon says like spray painting.CasKru wrote:Leon, do you know if they can do dual colours on an object? For instance on the inner part of the rim one colour and the part the tyre fits to another?

A white vehicle with black rims are really nice, especially if you have a black bumper/bullbar and rocksliders.

I used Duco Matt black in a rattle can, lasting for 8 years so far.
